A full line of silicon microphones from PUI Audio. These high performance microphones are the next generation of audio sensors made possible by advanced Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology, fabricated with state of the art micro machining techniques and unique patented processes.
This new series will push the microphone industry into the age of silicon technology. The silicon based microphones are integrated with specialized pre-amplification ASIC to provide high sensitivity and high signal to noise ratio from a capacitive audio sensor. These microphones are packaged for surface mounting and high temperature re-flow assembly.
Advantages of MEMS microphones over the traditional Electret Condenser Microphones (ECM) include the use of a charge pump to produce a constant charge on the back plate for less power supply noise, less susceptibility to vibration, internal pre-amp and filtering capacitors, and fully automated manufacturing for higher repeatability and stability.
