Wireless, not just your cell phone...

20 years ago kids were still listening to music on their 8-track tape players or calling their friends on their rotary telephones. Today, you can hardly walk into a 4th grade classroom without seeing students texting eachother on their cell phones or into a home where kids are playing XBOX Live with their friends in another state or country. Technology advancements seem like they happen at the blink of an eye when you put that kind of timeline on it.

Wireless technology is definitely no exception. Everywhere you turn today there are new wireless advancements - everyone wants it.

We were in a meeting the other day with one of our suppliers, Hirose, and we began discussing meter applications. They are booming right now because the utility companies are looking to change the metering equipment to wireless with network connections. So, monthly neighborhood visits from the meter man will become another thing of the past. In addition, regulating the distribution of our electric and gas based on usage is in our near future. This product innovation is incredible for utility consumers and companies, providing efficiency as well as a reduction in expenses for utility companies. Sure, up front, there is definitely an investment - but long term savings will be realized

It doesn't end with the utility companies all industries across the board are designing or re-developing products and services to factor in wireless technology. Schuster has several suppliers with a range of wireless products for any industry interested in this technology. Check out our linecard...lots of options.

Let Schuster provide you the best wireless product option for your next project.
