Unlike many of the competitors, AZ Displays owns their own monochrome LCD manufacturing facility in China. This is a tremendous advantage from multiple key aspects – pricing, flexibility, responsiveness and ease of communication. There are many variables to choosing the correct monochrome LCD, and often when they are all put together the end product is not a standard model. All of these variables need to be combined, even for a display as simple as a small character LCD:
- Technology – TN, STN, FSTN, DFSTN; Chip on Board or Chip on Glass
- Transmissive, Reflective or Transflective
- Colors – Black/white, yellow/green, blue/white; Positive or Negative
- Minimum acceptable viewing angles; view direction; contrast ratio; brightness
- Operating temperature
AZ’s flexibility allows us to develop a quote in typically less than a week. If customization is required you will find that our NRE charges are among the lowest in the industry. |

- PM070WX9 – 1,000 nit LED Backlit 7” 800 x 480 (also available in Portrait Mode)
- HX080WV1-100 – 8” LED Backlit 800 x 480 at 600 nits with Advance-Fringe Field Switching (AFFS), which achieves 89° viewing angles in all directions and -40 to +85°C Operating Temperature
- HX104X01-212 – 10.4” XGA with 89° viewing angles in all directions (NOTE: A 1,000 nit LED Backlit version is also available)
- G141I1-L01 – 14.1” 1280 x 800, 600 nits, -30 to +80°C
- G154I1-L01 – 15.4” - 1280 x 800, 600 nits, -30 to +80°C
