Han Q2/0 Insert: This connector was created for the Photovoltaic market to connect controlling systems to solar panels. This new connector sustains higher currents and is RoHS complaint.
Han K 4/4 Insert: The Han K 4/4 insert was created to compete with CEE plug connectors rated for 63A circuit breakers. The product is finger safe and accepts up to 4AWG wire size.
Han 70A Module: The Han 70A module was created to fill a gap in the Han modular product offering between the 40A modules and the 100A modules. There are two contacts rated at 70 amps for power circuits and it can be terminated in the field without special tools.

Methode Electronics Inc. announced that it has acquired the business assets of Tribotek Inc., a Burlington, Mass.-based technology company.
In addition to providing Methode with an established product in the power connector market, the Tribotek acquisition will also help Methode advance its busbar product line. Moving forward, Methode will be able to design busbars that are more technically advanced and efficient.

Tamura Linear Adapters No Longer Manufactured in US...
Linear adapters can no longer be manufactured for sale in the US market after July 1, 2008 unless they are destined for a customer that is exempt from the CEC specifications; and/or for replacements.
TCA is working with our engineering staff in Japan to enhance the offering of switching adapters that do meet the CEC requirements. Currently, the line is limited to various packages with a rated output voltage of 5 volts, and minimum order quanitities of 2,000 pieces. We'll keep you updated on the progress of this new series.

Torex is obsoleting their ST Micro Series of voltage regulators, LD2985AMxxR. However, Torex does offer a cross for this series, the XC6204 / XC6205 Series. The XC6204 & XC6205 Series are highly precise, low noise, positive voltage LDO regulators manufactured using CMOS processes. They achieve high ripple rejection and low dropout and consists of a standard voltage source, an error amplifier, a current limiter, a phase compensation circuit and a driver transistor. Output voltage is selectable in 50mV increments and are compatible with low ESR ceramic capacitors which give added output stability. This stability can be maintained even during load fluctuations due to the excellent transient response of these series. The current limiter's foldback circuit also operates as a short protect for the output current limiter and the output pin. The CE function enables the output to be turned off, resulting in greatly reduced power consumption.
